Nicotine pouch strength chart: Pablo, ZYN, on! and Killa compared
This nicotine pouch strength chart lines up every Pablo line with ZYN, on! and Killa, using nicotine per pouch.
All figures come from published specs. We leave out guesses, ratings and popularity claims.
Pablo targets experienced adults 21+, so the chart also groups every option into clear strength tiers.
Use it to compare doses before you buy. Then read the tier notes to see where you fit.
Key takeaways
- Nicotine per pouch is the only fair way to compare brands side by side.
- ZYN and on! top out at 6 mg and 8 mg per pouch in the US.
- Pablo’s US range spans 3 to 24 mg, while its import lines run from 10.15 to 30 mg.
- Killa, Pablo’s sister brand, sits at about 13.2 mg per pouch.
- Maker labels such as “extra strong” do not follow a neat scale, so read the milligrams.
How to read the chart
Brands describe strength in different ways. That makes quick comparisons harder than they should be.
ZYN and on! state nicotine per pouch. Pablo’s US range does the same, which keeps things simple.
However, Pablo’s import lines lead with mg/g, which is concentration rather than dose. Killa is also quoted in mg/g.
To compare fairly, we converted every figure to nicotine per pouch. The formula is mg/g multiplied by pouch weight.
For example, Gold Edition lists 24.3 mg/g in a 0.7 g pouch. That works out to 17 mg per pouch.
Our guide to Pablo mg per pouch walks through every conversion in detail.
What the columns mean
- Nicotine per pouch: the dose in one pouch, the main figure to compare.
- mg/g: concentration, shown where the brand or maker publishes it.
- Pouch weight: the weight of one pouch, where published.
- Pouches per can: how many pouches each can holds.
- Tier: our own grouping, explained further down.
When a brand does not publish a figure, the chart says “not listed.” We do not fill gaps with estimates.

| Pablo Exclusive | 30 mg | 50 | 0.6 g | 20 | Extreme |
The spread is wide. In fact, the strongest row carries fifteen times the nicotine of the lightest row.
Notice also how Pablo appears in every tier. That is because the US range and import lines cover different bands.
The six tiers explained
These tiers are our own grouping, built only from nicotine per pouch. They are not a maker or regulatory scale.
Light: 2 to 4 mg
This tier covers on! 2 mg and 4 mg, ZYN 3 mg and the Pablo US range at 3 mg.
Within Pablo, Chill, Smooth, Classic and Original come at 3 mg. All four use mint-style profiles.
So the light tier is where adults already using light pouches can try Pablo without changing dose.
Lower: 6 to 9 mg
Here you find ZYN 6 mg, on! 8 mg and the Pablo US range at 6 and 9 mg.
The 9 mg tier adds Cold Mint and Freeze to the mint-style options above.
Because ZYN tops out at 6 mg in the US, this tier also includes the strongest US ZYN pouch.
Strong: 10 to 13 mg
Pablo Silver Edition opens this tier at 10.15 mg. Next comes the US range at 13 mg.
Killa also lands here, at about 13.2 mg per pouch. It shares a maker with Pablo.
The 13 mg tier unlocks many fruit and cola flavors, such as Kiwi, Mango Ice and Cherry Cola.

Very strong: 15 to 20 mg
This tier holds four Pablo options: Mini 15 mg, Gold 17 mg, Dry 18 mg and US 20 mg.
Mini and Dry use smaller pouches, at 0.5 g and 0.6 g. However, their 30 mg/g concentration keeps them potent.
Gold, by contrast, keeps the 0.7 g Silver pouch and simply raises concentration to 24.3 mg/g.
No ZYN, on! or Killa product on this chart reaches this tier.
Super strong: 24 mg
Original, XXL and the US range at 24 mg share this tier.
All three use a 0.8 g pouch at 30 mg/g.
Original and XXL offer Ice Cold, with Original adding Red and X Ice Cold.
Meanwhile, US 24 mg covers fruit and cola flavors, including Vanilla Cola, Blue Razz and Double Lemonade.

Extreme: 30 mg
Only Pablo Exclusive reaches this tier. It lists 50 mg/g in a 0.6 g pouch, giving 30 mg.
That is five times a 6 mg ZYN pouch. It is also 6 mg above Original.
Exclusive suits seasoned strong-pouch users only. Our guide on how strong Pablo Exclusive is covers it in depth.
Step sizes between neighboring rows
The chart also shows how big each jump is. That matters when you move from one row to the next.
At the bottom, steps stay small in milligrams. However, they can be large in percentage terms.
- US 3 mg to US 6 mg: plus 3 mg, which doubles the dose.
- US 6 mg to US 9 mg: plus 3 mg, a 50 percent rise.
- US 9 mg to Silver Edition: plus 1.15 mg, about 13 percent more.
- Silver Edition to US 13 mg: plus about 2.85 mg, roughly 28 percent more.
- US 13 mg to Mini: plus 2 mg, about 15 percent more.
- Gold Edition to Dry: plus 1 mg, the smallest step between two Pablo lines.
- US 20 mg to Original: plus 4 mg, a 20 percent rise.
- Original to Exclusive: plus 6 mg, a 25 percent rise.
So the middle of the chart offers the gentlest steps. Meanwhile, the top end jumps in bigger blocks.
Skipping rows multiplies the jump. For example, Gold to Exclusive adds 13 mg, about 76 percent more per pouch.
That is why we suggest moving one row at a time, whatever direction you travel.
Pablo flavors in each tier
Strength and flavor go hand in hand across the range.
Some flavors only exist at certain tiers, so the chart shapes your flavor choice too.
Light and lower tiers
Every Pablo option from 3 to 9 mg is mint-style. That covers Chill, Smooth, Classic and Original.
Cold Mint and Freeze join at 9 mg. The brand describes these lower tiers as peppermint-fresh.
Strong tier
Silver Edition brings Spearmint, Peppermint, Cold Mint, Kiwi, Pear, Pineapple, Grape Ice, Blue Raspberry and Blueberry Peach Ice.
The US 13 mg tier then adds fruit and cola.
Examples include Passion Fruit, Tropical Punch, Double Cola and Watermelon Gum.
Frosted Mint and Blueberry Peach also appear here, and only here, within the US range.
Very strong tier
Gold Edition offers the widest choice in this band, from White Mint and Cola to Dark Cherry and Strawberry Kiwi.
Mini, Dry and US 20 mg, by contrast, stick to mint profiles like Ice Cold, Red and X Ice Cold.
Super strong and extreme tiers
Original keeps to Ice Cold, Red and X Ice Cold, while XXL offers Ice Cold.
Meanwhile, US 24 mg spans fruit, cola and Frosted Ice.
Exclusive then covers mint, fruit, soda and dessert profiles, all at 30 mg per pouch.
Browse by taste in our mint and fruit categories.
One flavor, several rows
Some flavors appear across many tiers. Kiwi, for instance, sits at 10.15, 13, 17, 24 and 30 mg.
Ice Cold spans Mini at 15 mg and Dry at 18 mg.
Similarly, it appears at 20 mg in the US range and at 24 mg in Original and XXL.
Grape Ice follows the Kiwi pattern, from Silver through Gold to Exclusive, plus two US tiers.
So always check the line, not just the flavor name, before you add a can to your cart.
Maker labels vs real milligrams
The maker gives each Pablo line a strength label. Those words help, yet they do not form a neat scale.
- Silver Edition: labeled extra strong, at 10.15 mg per pouch.
- Mini: labeled strong, at 15 mg per pouch.
- Dry: labeled strong and low-moisture, at 18 mg per pouch.
- Gold Edition: labeled ultra strong, at 17 mg per pouch.
- Original and XXL: labeled super strong, at 24 mg per pouch.
- Exclusive: labeled extreme, at 30 mg per pouch.
Look closely at Silver and Mini. Silver is labeled “extra strong” and Mini “strong,” yet Mini carries more nicotine.
Likewise, Dry carries 1 mg more than Gold, even though Gold carries the bolder “ultra strong” label.
Therefore, treat labels as rough hints. The milligram figure is the number that actually describes each pouch.
Rule of thumb: compare milligrams per pouch first, then read the label as a description of the line’s style.
How can size changes the picture
Pouches per can vary across brands and lines.
That changes how long a can lasts and how much nicotine it holds.
ZYN cans hold 15 pouches. Most Pablo cans hold 20, as does on!.
Pablo Mini and XXL, meanwhile, hold 30 pouches per can.
| Product | Nicotine per pouch | Pouches per can | Nicotine per can |
|---|---|---|---|
| ZYN 6 mg | 6 mg | 15 | 90 mg |
| on! 8 mg | 8 mg | 20 | 160 mg |
| Pablo US range 9 mg | 9 mg | 20 | 180 mg |
| Pablo Silver Edition | 10.15 mg | 20 | about 203 mg |
| Pablo Gold Edition | 17 mg | 20 | about 340 mg |
| Pablo Mini | 15 mg | 30 | 450 mg |
| Pablo Original | 24 mg | 20 | 480 mg |
| Pablo Exclusive | 30 mg | 20 | 600 mg |
| Pablo XXL | 24 mg | 30 | 720 mg |
These totals come from simple multiplication. They help with storage planning more than with choosing a strength.
For instance, XXL holds the most nicotine per can, while Exclusive holds the most per pouch.
Since nicotine is toxic if swallowed by children or pets, keep every can closed and out of reach.
What any strength chart leaves out
This nicotine pouch strength chart compares doses on paper. Several real-world factors sit outside it.
- Pouch size and fit: a 0.5 g Mini sits differently under the lip than a 0.8 g pouch.
- Moisture: Dry uses a low-moisture pouch, which some adults prefer for feel.
- Flavor and cooling: icy flavors add their own sensation on top of the nicotine tingle.
- Session length: the maker gives about 30 minutes as typical use, though you can stop sooner.
- Personal tolerance: the same pouch feels very different from one adult to another.
So use the chart to narrow your options. Then let your own experience decide between neighboring tiers.
Too much nicotine can cause dizziness, nausea, sweating or a racing heart. If that happens, remove the pouch and stop.
Using the chart to choose a Pablo
The easiest approach is to find your current product on the chart.
Then pick the Pablo option on the same row or tier.
Worked matches
- ZYN 3 mg users: the Pablo US range at 3 mg matches the dose.
- ZYN 6 mg users: the US range at 6 mg sits on the same figure.
- on! 8 mg users: the US range at 9 mg sits closest, just 1 mg higher.
- Killa users: US 13 mg sits just below, while Silver sits about 3 mg lower.
- Gold users who want more: Dry adds just 1 mg per pouch.
Matching your dose first means only the brand changes. After that, you can explore flavors at the same tier.
Our beginner’s guide to Pablo explains that first step in more detail.
When you later want to move tiers, our guide to moving between Pablo strengths shows how to do it gradually.

When two rows look almost identical
Some neighboring rows sit very close together. In those cases, format and flavor should decide, not the milligrams.
Gold and Dry differ by just 1 mg. Gold uses a 0.7 g pouch with many fruit and mint flavors.
Dry, meanwhile, uses a low-moisture 0.6 g pouch and comes in Ice Cold.
Similarly, US 13 mg and Killa differ by only about 0.2 mg. Here, flavor range and brand preference matter more.
Original and XXL match exactly at 24 mg. So the choice comes down to 20 or 30 pouches per can.
Our XXL category shows the larger 24 g can in detail.
Regulatory snapshot
FDA regulates nicotine pouches as tobacco products. The federal minimum age to buy them is 21.
FDA’s list of authorized nicotine pouch products currently contains ZYN and on! PLUS products only.
Pablo does not appear on that list. Its maker, N.G.P Tobacco ApS, says its PMTA applications remain under FDA review.
Killa comes from the same Danish maker, based in Aalborg, Denmark.
State and local rules also vary, so check what applies where you live. This is general information, not legal advice.
For background on the product type itself, see the Wikipedia entry on nicotine pouches.
Our page on Pablo’s FDA status explains the details further.
